Teleconsultation: Definition and Functioning
Teleconsultation allows patients to be monitored remotely using secure digital tools. It enables children, adolescents, and adults to have an online medical appointment with a qualified healthcare provider without having to leave home.
At Dismed, teleconsultation goes beyond a simple online appointment. Each session constitutes personalized remote medical monitoring, adapted to the pace and needs of each patient.
Our French-speaking practitioners include speech therapists, psychologists, psychomotor therapists, occupational therapists, orthoptists, sophrologists, hypnotherapists, neurologists… They provide high-quality support identical to that of a physical practice, regardless of the specialty.
All consultations take place via video consultation on a secure platform, ensuring the confidentiality of exchanges and the protection of health data.

A video consultation with Dismed takes place in 4 simple steps:
1. Secure Connection: The patient connects to the Dismed platform via a secure link, without needing to download an application. A simple internet connection is sufficient to access their online medical appointment.
2. Welcome and Assessment: The practitioner begins the video consultation with a discussion with the patient or their parents to assess needs, progress made, and define the day’s objectives. This step ensures individualized monitoring adapted to each situation.
3. Interactive Activities and Exercises: The session continues via video consultation, with exercises and activities adapted to the patient’s specialty and needs, whether it be speech therapy, psychology, psychomotor therapy, occupational therapy, orthoptics, sophrology, hypnotherapy, or neurology.
4. Review and Progress Monitoring: At the end of the session, the practitioner provides feedback on progress and, if necessary, suggests advice or exercises to be done at home, thereby maintaining continuous and effective remote medical monitoring between appointments.
