I'm a trilingual speech therapist with a degree from the Université Saint-Joseph in Beirut. I set up my own business as soon as I obtained my Master's degree, and at the same time worked in a non-governmental organization (NGO) with a variety of populations. Indeed, my patients include children with language delays and/or developmental language disorders. More concretely, the remedial measures put in place can target the articulatory, phonological, syntactic, narrative and pragmatic aspects of oral language.
I also see patients with written language requests. Remedial action will therefore be more focused on children with reading and/or spelling delays or learning difficulties. It's this area of speech therapy that's particularly close to my heart. In fact, I'm in charge of the course on written language disorders and their remediation at the Lebanese University.
In short, I have a diverse patient base who consult me for both oral and written language assessment and remediation.
In this context, I always combine research with my observations to justify the relevance of the therapeutic objectives set with each patient. I'd also like to point out that I'm trilingual. I speak fluent French, English and Arabic. This is a real positive point from my point of view, as I have an increasingly heterogeneous patient base in my daily clinical practice.
